Pegasus Retail represents over 30 local and national retailers and restaurant chains throughout New Mexico, Southern Colorado and West Texas. Additionally, Pegasus Retail exclusively represents over 3 million square feet of premium properties on behalf of its clients. The firm also provides asset and property management.

Meet the Brokers
Anthony Johnson is President of Pegasus Group, LLC. Anthony is a recognized leader in the commercial real estate industry, and is widely regarded as one of the top retail brokers in New Mexico. Prior to forming Pegasus Group, Anthony was Senior Vice President of Retail Services at Sedberry and Associates. He began his real estate career in 1991 with CB Richard Ellis (CBRE), where he eventually rose to Vice President, and head of its New Mexico Retail Division. Anthony is active in several professional organizations, including the International Council of Shopping Centers and CARNM. He was State Director for ICSC from 1999-2004. Anthony is active in numerous community and charitable organizations. He received his undergraduate degree at Colorado College.

Steve Lyon is Senior Vice President for Pegasus Group, LLC. His experience includes more than 20 years of success in commercial real estate sales and leasing. Steve began his real estate career in Dallas, Texas with Henry S. Miller CRE. He then moved to Phoenix, Arizona, where he had an award-winning run at MCI in Sales and Management. Steve came to Pegasus in the spring of 2013, from Coldwell Banker Commercial.
Since Steve relocated to New Mexico ten years ago, he has completed more than 350 transactions. A partial list of relationships he has formed includes: Jason’s Deli, Parts Plus, Edward Jones, Ashley Furniture Home Store, Baillio’s Appliance & Electronics, Weight Watchers, Aspen Leaf Yogurt, Carl’s Jr., and more.
Steve is a licensed NM and TX real estate broker, a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), past President of the Leasing Information Network (LIN), leader of the Boy Scouts of America (Great Southwest Council), and an industry top performer.

George Chronis is the designated Qualifying Broker for Pegasus Group LLC. He began his real estate career in January of 2006 at Coldwell Banker Legacy, and was known for selling luxury homes. As of March 2014, he began his transition to commercial real estate, joining NAI Maestas & Ward as an office and multifamily advisor focusing on investment property.
Growing up third-generation in a real estate family, George has always been intrigued by commercial real estate and especially the retail discipline. In June of 2015 George joined Pegasus Retail to work as a Tenant and Landlord Representative. In the time, he has been at Pegasus Retail, he has worked on a variety of projects which have only fueled his curiosity and fostered his creativity. With the countless opportunities that real estate provides, and his passion for the business, he believes the possibilities are endless.
George has been highly successful in starting and owning several Internet based businesses. His abilities of marketing, sales, and pricing skills have translated into high customer retention and successful sales. Finding intrinsic value in the rarest of areas, George’s high level, yet detailed, critical thinking and his tenacious entrepreneurial spirit warrants success
George earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting and Finance from the Robert O. Anderson School of Management at the University of New Mexico. George has worked in several industries, and this has provided him the opportunity to polish his rare skill set, giving him the unique perspective to creative unparalleled solutions to real world situations.
Donnie’s real estate career began in 1997. He went on to form Alameda Property Group, where he spent the next 15 years focusing on large master planned, mixed-use developments. Donnie has designed, coordinated financing for, developed, and brokered commercial subdivisions, residential subdivisions, multifamily subdivisions, and business parks.
A partial list of tenants that Donnie has placed include: Walmart Stores Inc., MountainView Regional Medical Center, Walgreens, Rehabilitation Hospital of SNM, Acute Care Hospital of SNM, Murphy Oil, Tuesday Morning, McAlister’s Deli, Buffalo Wild Wings, Firehouse Subs, Rio Grande Medical Group, Bank of the Rio Grande and US Oncology.
Previous to his entrance into real estate, Donnie worked in the television industry. During his tenure, he created the five-time Emmy winning show “Win Ben Stein’s Money”.
Donnie proudly served in the United States Navy onboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger CV-61. He was deployed numerous times throughout the Western Pacific. His military awards and recognitions include the 2010 Cold War – Certificate of Recognition, 1989 Humanitarian Service Medal, Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Battle “E” Award, NAVY Letter of Appreciation and Battle “E” Pacific Ribbon.
Donnie is a 5th generation native of New Mexico, his family roots date back to the late 1800’s. His great-great grandfather, John Wilson, was the very first US Attorney in New Mexico following statehood. Donnie’s great-great grandfather, Dr. P.G. Cornish Sr. was one of the founding members of Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque. Donnie’s great-great grandmother, Cora Wilson, was a founder of the Albuquerque Symphony. And Donnie’s great grandfather, William Anton Rank was an original investor and partner with Conrad Hilton in Hilton Hotels.
Donnie is active in both the Cerebral Palsy and Autism communities, spends most of his free time with his children.
Karen has an extensive background with over 23 years of experience specializing in landlord representation and tenant representation in the retail sector. Whether working with local business owners or national corporations, she delivers expertise tailored for each and every one of her clients. Knowing that there is no one-size fits all solution; she works with the individual needs of each client to exceed expectations. Using her extensive relationships in the retail real estate industry and comprehensive knowledge base, she can provide guidance through all phases of negotiations.
As a member of ICSC since 2000, Karen has served in all state level volunteer leadership positions within ICSC. Most recently, she was the State Director for Missouri and Kansas and is now an Ambassador for New Mexico. Karen also holds the ICSC designation of Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS) and has since 2004.
Karen is an avid tennis player and competes at local, state and national levels. In 2016, she was a member of the World Team Tennis (WIT) team representing the Midwest in the national finals in Indian Wells, California.
Gannon Coffman is a seasoned retail leasing broker with over 5 years of experience in the industry specializing in Tenant and Landlord representation. Gannon has also helped clients buy and sell shopping centers and single tenant NNN properties throughout the Southwest. Gannon has a strong client network and investor base throughout the US and enjoys business development and CRETech. Gannon is a former Director on the CCIM Board of New Mexico. He is an active member or ICSC and was Government Relations Chairmen for New Mexico for a 2 year term in 2016 and 2017.
James A. Anderson was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM. Upon graduating from Eldorado High School, where he lettered in academics and golf, James continued his education at the University of Oklahoma, “Boomer Sooner!”, and later at the University of New Mexico, where “Everyone’s a Lobo – Woof! Woof! Woof!”. Growing up, James was exposed to high levels of the real estate, political and retail industries.
His grandfather, William A. “Bill” Anderson, a Harvard graduate, owned a very successful Real Estate brokerage for over 30 years and served as Director of State Hospitals and Institutions as well as the Secretary of Labor under Governor Jerry Apodoca and later became an executive of the Private Industry Council for the federal government. His father, David A. Anderson, experienced corporate success within Discount Tire Company, and more recently, by owning and operating a chain of businesses in the Pacific Northwest.
From a young age, the principals of faith, courage, perseverance and integrity were instilled in James. Now, he applies these principles towards the daily grind of Commercial Real Estate, and more importantly, leverages these traits to ensure his customers and clients are on the receiving end of impeccable advisement.
During his free time, James enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, playing golf, watching golf, talking about golf, and thinking about golf. “Boomer – Woof!”
Richard Abel is a Qualifying Broker at Pegasus Group, LLC. He began his real estate career in South Florida after serving in the US Army Medical Support Corps and attending college. Richard entered commercial real estate just as the condominium conversion wave was sweeping over Florida. He spent his early career in multi-family acquisitions and condominium marketing. He later affiliated with EWM Christies, Grubb & Ellis, Horn Blower Trust Co., NV, and Marcus & Millichap. Richard also owned his own brokerage, specializing in waterfront land assemblages in downtown Miami and on South Beach.
When he relocated to New Mexico in the late 1990’s, Richard affiliated with NAI Commercial for a decade, and then moved on to Pegasus Group LLC as the Qualifying Broker. Richard is a licensed real estate qualifying broker in New Mexico and Florida, and is affiliated with NAR, RANM, the Commercial Association of Realtors New Mexico, and ICSC. Richard is a “car guy” and a theatre buff, and participates in various medical and political charities.
